1. The Core Sphere — The Integrated System in Reality

At the center of the model is a sphere representing the System of Interest (SOI) as an integrated system operating in reality.

When the SOI is the individual person, the sphere integrates the relevant relationships among the 3 Human Aspects and 7 Spheres of Integration that contribute to the 147-Zone architecture.

  • Individual
  • Family / Home
  • Professional / Business
  • Community / Local
  • National / Country
  • Global / World
  • Cyber / Beyond

Rather than treating these as isolated compartments, XSE examines their interactions as parts of an interconnected multidimensional system.

The resulting 147 Zones provide a fine-grained evaluative field through which relevant conditions, relationships, influences, vulnerabilities, strengths, and changes can be investigated.

The sphere is not static

The SOI is continually operating within changing conditions.

It:

  • receives and generates Inputs and Outputs through its Gateways;
  • interacts with other systems and environments;
  • encounters internal and external System Forces;
  • uses and develops Sources and Resources;
  • generates feedback;
  • exhibits Inertia and Momentum;
  • performs System Work;
  • changes state over time;
  • and develops a continuing Trajectory.

These operational relationships are investigated through XSE Dynamic Mechanics.


2. The Seven Domains — Analytical Satellites

The 7 Domains of Study may be represented visually as satellites surrounding the core sphere:

  1. Law
  2. Psychology
  3. Biology & Applicable Sciences
  4. Human Factors Engineering
  5. Environmental & Occupational Safety & Health
  6. Manpower, Personnel, & Training
  7. Survivability & Habitability

The satellite metaphor should not imply that the Domains are literal external forces acting upon the SOI.

Rather, they are Domains of Study through which relevant aspects of the system can be investigated.

Each Domain can direct analytical attention toward different portions of the SOI and its environment.

For example, the same condition might be examined from:

  • a legal perspective;
  • a psychological perspective;
  • a biological or scientific perspective;
  • a human-factors perspective;
  • or several Domains simultaneously.

Multi-Domain Analysis

Complex system conditions frequently cross disciplinary boundaries.

Accordingly, multiple Domains may be applied to the same Zone, relationship, Force, condition, or problem to develop a more integrated understanding.

The Domains therefore help answer:

Through which fields of study should this part of the system be investigated?

They provide analytical perspectives—not predetermined conclusions.


3. The X, Y, and Z Axes — XSE’s Analytical Coordinate Architecture

The SOI can also be examined through the three Axes of XSE:

X Axis — System Analysis

Examines the system through critical and creative systems analysis.

Y Axis — System Life-Cycle Stage

Examines the SOI in relation to its actual life-cycle stage and changes occurring across time and Epochs.

Z Axis — Sources and Resources

Examines the Sources from which relevant information, claims, knowledge, influence, or direction originate and the Resources available to or affecting the system.

Together, the X, Y, and Z Axes form the coordinate architecture through which XSE can examine system conditions multidimensionally.

They should not be reduced simply to:

thinking + action + inputs.

Their formal XSE meanings are broader:

X = System Analysis
Y = System Life-Cycle Stage
Z = Sources and Resources


4. The Eight Octants — Higher-Order System Positioning

Because the three axes can be represented through positive and negative directional relationships, their intersection produces 8 Octants.

These Octants provide a higher-order structural framework for examining the SOI’s multidimensional positioning.

The important correction here is that the Octants should not be assigned simplistic fixed meanings such as:

+−+ = “poor execution”

or:

−+− = “misguided process.”

Those labels collapse the much richer meanings of the X, Y, and Z Axes into predetermined interpretations.

Instead, each Octant represents a particular combination of X-, Y-, and Z-axis conditions that must be investigated in relation to the actual SOI.

The meaning of a system’s positioning must then be established through XSE investigation rather than assumed from a simplistic label.


5. The +++ Octant and XSE Zenith

Within this architecture, the +++ Octant represents the positive relationship among all three XSE Axes.

It is therefore associated with movement toward the highest-order positive XSE positioning.

At the conceptual furthest positive extent of the +++ Octant lies:

XSE Zenith — Truth

The XSE Zenith represents the ultimate positive reference direction of the XSE coordinate architecture.

It should not be interpreted as a claim that a finite human system literally reaches mathematical infinity or possesses exhaustive truth.

Rather, infinity functions as a directional representation indicating continued orientation toward the Zenith without arbitrarily imposing a finite endpoint upon the pursuit of truth.


6. XSE Dynamic Mechanics — What Produces and Characterizes Change

This is the major addition that the older model was missing.

The SOI does not simply occupy a position and then mysteriously appear somewhere else on the next Astronomical Plot.

Between those observations lies actual system operation.

XSE Dynamic Mechanics provides XSE’s framework for examining the mechanics through which that operation produces, sustains, resists, accelerates, decelerates, or redirects meaningful system change.

Its 10 core mechanics are:

  1. System Distance
  2. System Displacement
  3. Trajectory
  4. Rate of Change
  5. Velocity
  6. Acceleration / Deceleration
  7. Inertia
  8. Momentum
  9. System Force
  10. System Work

These mechanics help investigate questions such as:

How far apart are relevant system states?

How much net change has actually occurred?

Where is the system heading?

How rapidly is it changing?

Is that change accelerating or decelerating?

What is resisting change?

What is sustaining the established course?

What Forces are acting upon the system?

What effective System Work is actually producing change?

Dynamic Mechanics therefore describes important characteristics and relationships involved in the actual functioning and changing of the SOI.


7. Gateway Guarding — Regulating System Exchange

The Mind, Body, and Spirit Gateways are interfaces through which relevant Inputs and Outputs enter, leave, or otherwise interact with the human system.

Gateway Guarding is the Derived Dynamic concerned with deliberately regulating selected Gateway exchanges in accordance with the system’s engineered configuration.

This may include decisions concerning:

  • Inputs to accept;
  • Inputs to refuse or restrict;
  • Outputs to intentionally produce;
  • Outputs to inhibit or discontinue;
  • exposures to permit;
  • influences to resist;
  • behaviors to reinforce;
  • and recurring patterns to interrupt.

Gateway Guarding can therefore alter the conditions feeding into Dynamic Mechanics.

For example:

Changed Gateway Guarding

→ changes relevant Inputs/Outputs

→ alters feedback and conditioning

→ changes System Forces

→ interacts with existing Inertia

→ strengthens or weakens Momentum

→ affects Rate of Change and Velocity

→ changes Trajectory

→ produces System Displacement

→ contributes to a changed system state.

Thus the Gateways are important system interfaces and regulatory points, but they should not be described as the sole controllers of Trajectory.

Many interacting Factors and Derived Dynamics can affect Dynamic Mechanics.


8. Luxxacation — Transformational Torque

XSE already has an established mechanical relationship for Torque:

Luxxacation

Take Time → Build Strength → Rise Above

Luxxacation provides XSE’s recursive transformational and reorientational Torque.

Through Take Time, the system examines Current Reality, Dynamic Mechanics, Desired Results, and the configuration required for advancement.

Through Build Strength, the configuration is placed into operation and System Work occurs.

Through Rise Above, improved Sources, Resources, capability, and perspective are pursued.

The system then returns recursively to Take Time.

Accordingly, Torque does not need to become an additional core Dynamic Mechanic.

Rather:

XSE Dynamic Mechanics describes the mechanics of system change, while Luxxacation provides XSE’s recursive transformational Torque for deliberate reorientation and advancement.


9. Astronomical Plotting — Representing the Changing System

Astronomical Plotting provides a navigational representation through which relevant system information can be visualized.

This distinction is important:

Dynamic Mechanics is not the Astronomical Plot.

Dynamic Mechanics describes aspects of the actual operation and change of the SOI.

Astronomical Plotting represents relevant consequences of that operation.

Conceptually:

SOI + Factors + Conditions + Derived Dynamics

Actual System Operation

XSE Dynamic Mechanics

Changes in State and Trajectory

Changes across relevant Zones and Octants

Astronomical Plotting

Thus changes appearing on successive Astronomical Plots may represent manifestations of underlying changes in the SOI and its Dynamic Mechanics.

The map represents the system; it is not the system itself.


10. Putting the Updated Model Together

The integrated model now contains several distinct but interacting layers.

The Core Sphere

Represents the integrated System of Interest and the multidimensional conditions examined through the 147 Zones.

The Domains

Provide seven fields of study for investigating relevant portions of the system.

The X, Y, and Z Axes

Provide XSE’s analytical coordinate architecture.

The 8 Octants

Provide higher-order multidimensional positioning resulting from the three-axis architecture.

XSE Dynamic Mechanics

Describes important mechanics through which the SOI persists, changes, resists change, moves, redirects, and performs effective System Work over time.

Gateway Guarding

Regulates selected Inputs and Outputs through the Mind, Body, and Spirit Gateways, thereby influencing system operation.

Luxxacation

Provides the recursive transformational Torque of:

Take Time → Build Strength → Rise Above.

Astronomical Plotting

Provides a navigational representation of relevant system state, positioning, Forces, Desired Results, Dynamic Mechanics, and change across time.

XSE Zenith

Provides the ultimate positive reference direction within the +++ architecture: Truth.

The System of Interest exists and operates within a multidimensional field of interacting Factors, conditions, Gateways, Sources, Resources, feedback, and Derived Dynamics. The 147 Zones help identify where relevant conditions occur, while the 7 Domains help determine through which fields they should be investigated; the X, Y, and Z Axes establish the analytical coordinate architecture, and the 8 Octants organize higher-order system positioning. Within this architecture, XSE Dynamic Mechanics describes how the SOI actually operates and changes—how change is produced, resisted, sustained, accelerated, decelerated, or redirected—while Gateway Guarding regulates important Inputs and Outputs affecting that operation, and Luxxacation provides XSE’s recursive transformational Torque. The resulting changes in system state, positioning, and Trajectory can be investigated across the 147 Zones and 8 Octants and represented navigationally through Astronomical Plotting, while XSE Zenith—Truth—provides the ultimate positive reference direction within the +++ architecture.
