Independent Integration Systems Engineering

Independent Integration Systems Engineering (XSE)

Independent Integration Systems Engineering (XSE) is an interdisciplinary, human-centered, managerial, and socio-technical systems-engineering methodology for investigating, designing, operating, integrating, and recursively improving complex Systems of Interest across their life cycles, while maintaining the human person, human dignity, and responsible freedom as primary considerations wherever human involvement exists.

XSE is oriented toward the strength, Integrity, coherent development, responsible freedom, and constructive integration of the human person, beginning with Independent Integration at the Individual Sphere and extending, as applicable to the System of Interest, through the Seven Spheres of Integration: Individual, Family / Home, Professional / Business, Community / Local, National / Country, Global / World, and Cyber / Beyond.

The method examines systems through XSE’s complete 40-Factor architecture, consisting of 20 Actual Factors and 20 Analytical Factors. Together, these form XSE’s 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) construct, in which both the Actual and Analytical Factor sets are required to “authenticate” a sufficiently complete XSE investigation through consideration of both real-world system conditions and the analytical structures used to investigate and engineer them.

The 20 Actual Factors encompass the integrated human Aspects of Mind, Body, and Spirit; their corresponding Gateways; the Seven Spheres of Integration; and the Seven Domains of Study.

The 20 Analytical Factors encompass the X, Y, and Z Axes; the three Elements of Luxxacation—Take Time, Build Strength, and Rise Above; the Seven Advancing Assets and Positions; and the Seven XSE Axioms.

XSE further investigates system behavior through its XSE Dynamic Mechanics and higher-order Derived Dynamics, which provide structured means of examining what is dynamically occurring within and to the System of Interest, how relevant relationships and conditions interact, where the system is positioned, how its Trajectory is developing, how it is governed and regulated, and how its configuration can be improved over time.

The larger XSE architecture operates within the XSE Epoch-Transcending Synergizing Axiomatic System (XESAS), through which relevant Factors, Axioms, Dynamic Mechanics, Derived Dynamics, Sources, Resources, system states, Position, Trajectory, relationships, constraints, requirements, and feedback can be organized and considered within, between, and across life-cycle-defined Epochs.

XESAS Synthesis then provides the higher-order integrative process through which relevant findings are brought into coordinated relationship to establish a coherent whole-system configuration for subsequent operation.

Operationally, XSE proceeds recursively through Luxxacation:

Take Time → Build Strength → Rise Above

Take Time establishes Current Reality, analyzes the system, investigates relevant Dynamic Mechanics, Position, and Trajectory, identifies Desired Results, and engineers the next whole-system configuration.

Build Strength places that configuration into actual operation through applicable governance, Executive Power (XSE’s broader construct encompassing what is commonly described as willpower), Gateway Guarding, System Work, Target Tracking, correction, and persistence.

Rise Above reviews what operation revealed, supports appropriate recommitment, seeks better Sources and Resources, and strengthens capability before the system returns to Take Time for renewed analysis, synthesis, and reconfiguration.

XSE may be applied throughout the full system life cycle, including inception, concept development, design, development, production, deployment, operation, maintenance, adaptation, transition, retirement, and long-term systems management, as applicable to the System of Interest.

Where human beings participate in, depend upon, operate, design, manage, or are affected by the system, XSE seeks to strengthen constructive human-system interaction while maintaining attention to accurate and truthful representation of Current Reality, Integrity, human dignity, responsible freedom, appropriate technological stewardship, whole-system coherence, adaptive capability, and long-range Trajectory.

XSE may incorporate natural human capacities, environmental systems, organizational structures, information systems, hardware, software, automation, and other appropriate technologies and Resources, but does not treat technological capability as an end in itself. Technology is evaluated in relation to the larger human and systems context in which it operates.

The broader aim of XSE is therefore not merely the optimization of isolated components, but the increasingly coherent integration of the System of Interest within reality, across its relevant Spheres, and throughout its life cycle, with particular concern for strengthening the human person and preserving human dignity and responsible freedom wherever human involvement exists. XSE uses the following domains of study:

  1. Law
  2. Psychology
  3. Biology & Applicable Sciences
  4. Human Factors Engineering
  5. Environmental & Occupational Safety & Health
  6. TrainingManpower & Personnel
  7. Survivability & Habitability
